The Cloths of heaven
Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet..........
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
When I read this I was reminded of a great quote about dreams....
it was by Lawrence of Arabia....
.... it goes like this..
All men dream: but not equally.
Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds
wake in the day to find that it was vanity,
but
the dreamers of the day are dangerous men,
for they may act their dreams
with open eyes,
to make it possible.
to make it possible.
