What a contrast in yesterday's news...... the parents of Aysha King put in a Spanish jail....simply because they want to keep their son alive....
I am no doctor, and I know nothing of the family, so I hold no qualification to say whether one treatment or the other is appropriate for this young boy...... but what is appropriate is that his parents are fighting to keep him alive and still some fookwit[s] thought that the best way to handle this situation was to create fugitives out of them.
This world is without doubt as fooked up as it can be.....
We have 2 ordinary people fighting for the sanctity of life for their son........
And then juxtaposed in the same news we have once more, the brutal ending of yet another life.
The sympathy we have for the King family is matched by the frustration we must feel at seeing Steven Sotloff at the end of his short life.
In much that same way as Aysha Kings parents were put in jail, then no doubt Steven Sotloff's parents are now in jail too.....but theirs is a life sentence.
The murder of Steven Sotloff will achieve nothing but misery..... in much the same way as any other murder does....
On this coming Friday, I am due to attend the funeral of my cousins wife....she was brutally murdered.... she was not beheaded but she died at the hand of a knife..... she was 49 years old with 2 teenage daughters....... what does murder ever achieve ?
For all the emotional effort to keep Aysha King alive and yet life can so easily be taken away....
One thing is for me, quite clear.....
IS will not stop this murderous campaign....
but how will it be stopped ? who knows.....
but whilst there are Kings on this earth at least there is hope.
